TRANSWOOD® is a brand of environmentally friendly materials designed by Dr. Hideyuki Kasuga (Doctor of Engineering) based on the concept of "materials that can last for 100 years. TRANSWOOD® is a composite material made from wood-derived materials such as wood flour and cellulose microfiber (CMF) from thinned wood, and biomass resin made from waste cooking oil, etc. It reduces CO2 emissions and plastic usage in the manufacturing process and is recyclable. Starting with the application to tableware for the environmentally conscious lifestyle brand "hide k 1896" in 2023, the application and development of Transwood are underway for a wide range of categories including furniture, building materials, home appliance housings, and automobile interior parts.
