A new kind of luxury: “Sustainable Beauty,” starting with a single pair of chopsticks
A pair of chopsticks that accompanies your daily meals. They are more than just a tool; they are a quiet reflection of your aesthetic sensibilities and lifestyle.
Created from “TRANSWOOD®” —an eco-friendly material developed by Hideyuki Kasuga, representative of the hide kasuga group, based on the concept of “materials that last 100 years”—these chopsticks combine cellulose microfibers made from wood flour with “Prasus®,” a biomass resin derived from used cooking oil. The delicate texture unique to wood that emerges on the surface gives each pair a truly one-of-a-kind appearance.

When designing these chopsticks, we made repeated adjustments in increments of 0.01 mm to create a silhouette that curves ever so slightly, conveying a sense of richness. The hexagonal cross-section, which fits comfortably in the hand and creates subtle shadows, is also slightly rounded, becoming a gentle, circular shape toward the tips to ensure comfort when used.
