
The second installment of the special dialogue series "Opening the Door to 2022 Japanese Modernism" was published in Richesse No. 41 (Hearst Fujingaho), which will go on sale on September 28, 2022.
In this second installment of the dialogue series, we had a discussion with world-renowned art curator Fumio Nanjo (art critic and special advisor to the Mori Art Museum) on the theme of "The Possibility of Fusion of Art and Science.
Richesse, which celebrated its 10th anniversary this year as well as ours, was launched in 2012 and is a magazine that introduces luxurious lifestyles from Japan and abroad.

Fumio NANJO Fumio NANJO
Born in Tokyo, 1949. Curator and art critic. Graduated from Keio University, Faculty of Economics. He has served as a curator and juror for international exhibitions, and has been the director of the Mori Art Museum since 2006, where he has organized a series of groundbreaking exhibitions that have attracted much attention. He has also been involved in a number of cultural administration projects, including serving on the Cultural Affairs Council of the Agency for Cultural Affairs.
Hideyuki KASUGA
Hideyuki KASUGA was born in 1973 in Nagano, Japan. Doctor of Engineering. Completed a master's degree at Tokyo Institute of Technology. After working as a representative of a family business that had its roots in a hemp wholesaler, he became independent. Founded "hide kasuga 1896" based on material development. He is active in a wide range of fields, including business creation and brand development, utilizing his expertise in materials.
