TRANSWOOD® with Prasus®.
A totally bio-based composite designed for a 100-year life cycle.
TRANSWOOD® is a brand of environmentally friendly materials designed by Dr. Hideyuki Kasuga (Doctor of Engineering) based on the concept of "materials that can last for 100 years. TRANSWOOD® is a composite material made of "wood-derived materials" such as wood flour and cellulose microfiber (CMF) from thinned wood, and Prasus®, a mass-balanced biomass resin made from waste cooking oil and other materials, which reduces CO2 emissions and plastic use during the manufacturing process. Transwood is a recyclable material that reduces CO2 emissions and the amount of plastic used in the manufacturing process.
Prasus®.
BIOMASS RESIN WITH MASS BALANCE METHOD THAT CAN REDUCE GHG EMISSIONS BY APPROXIMATELY 60%*.
Prasus®, manufactured by Prime Polymer, a member of the Mitsui Chemicals Group, is a biomass resin brand that reduces GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions by approximately 60% compared to petroleum-based resins, is manufactured in Japan, and can be stably supplied. Traceability is ensured by ISCC PLUS certification.
*THE AMOUNT OF CO2 CALCULATED FROM THE AMOUNT OF BIOMASS-DERIVED CARBON ALLOCATED BY THE MASS BALANCE METHOD IS CALCULATED AS THE AMOUNT OF CO2 ABSORBED BY THE PRODUCT.
